About the Career Search Network

Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, our non-profit organization was formed during the tough economic downturn experienced in early 2009. Our leaders determined a need existed for local networking opportunities and enhanced job searching strategies. The approach of the Career Search Network is to target a specific geographic area, find a place to meet that is free of charge, and then initiate a “branch” group in that location.

Ideally, the branches would maintain less than 100 regular members and once over that size, additional branches will be sought to be created in the same area to keep the groups sizeable and manageable.

If you represent a church, company, or civic organization that would like to host a Career Search Network branch in your area, please send us an e-mail with the following information:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Number of people that can meet in the location and the number of rooms available
  • Weekly times at which the location is NOT available for a CSN meeting
  • Contact phone and e-mail address

Co-Founder

Paul Vercher is the individual that initiated the Fort Worth Career Search Network, the informal predecessor to the Career Search Network. His HR knowledge and expertise have helped formulate and guide the Career Search Network into the multi-site, multi-city, tax-deductible, non-profit organization that it is today.

Foster Williams

Co-Founder and Job Conduit

If you don’t know Foster yet, you will. His infectious and personable attitude is the driving force behind Career Search Network’s emphasis on creating and establishing relationships in business and life. Foster has been a corporate and contract recruiter for over 20 years and, with his wife Cindy, is the co-founder of the popular job posting site www.Search4UInc.com.

Doug Williamson, MBA, PMP

Co-Founder

Doug has served as the “Operations Guy” for Career Search Network since its inception. Knowledgeable in business operations and project management with a technical background, Doug has helped initiate and organize our branch locations and developed our websites and YahooGroups pages.

Ret Martin, SPHR

Volunteer Manager

A Texas native and TCU graduate, Ret has lived in the Fort Worth area for more than 30 years.  He grew up working in his family’s retail department store business, The Dunlap Company.  Ret is an SPHR certified Human Resources Generalist and Administrative Management Professional looking for a senior position in the greater Fort Worth area. His business expertise includes Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Employee Relations, Corporate Communications, Commercial Insurance, Risk Management, Strategic Management, Retail Management, Property Taxes, State Income and Franchise Taxes, Project Management, Commercial Leases and Residential Real Estate Sales and Leasing.

Ret is committed to integrity, honesty, responsibility, building productive business relationships, encouraging coworkers to excel, and promoting cooperation. He is passionate about helping people understand how their daily duties fit into the big picture of the organization, and is eager to become the trusted advisor to all levels of management regarding human resources matters.   Ret is a member of the Fort Worth Human Resources Management Association and the Society for Human Resources Management, has a Texas Real Estate Salesperson License, and is a member of the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors.
